Booking
How do I book a houseboat with you?

Browse our verified houseboats, then call or WhatsApp us with your dates. We confirm availability, share a transparent quote, and reserve your boat β€” usually within minutes.

How far in advance should I book?

For summer and holidays, book 3–6 weeks ahead as houseboats sell out fast. For spring and autumn, 2–3 weeks is usually fine; winter is easy last-minute.

Do you charge any booking fees or commission?

No. You book directly with the owner at transparent rates β€” there are no hidden fees or agent commissions added to your bill.

Can I book more than one houseboat for a group?

Yes β€” we regularly arrange multiple houseboats for larger groups and families travelling together. Just tell us your group size.

How will I get my booking confirmation?

We confirm your booking in writing over WhatsApp or email, including the houseboat, dates, rate and terms.

Payment
What payment methods do you accept?

We typically accept UPI, bank transfer and cash. We’ll share the available payment options when you book.

Do I need to pay in advance?

Usually a small advance confirms your dates, with the balance paid on arrival. We always tell you the exact amount in writing first.

Is my payment safe?

Yes β€” we share clear terms before any payment, and you deal directly with a registered local business, not an anonymous third party.

Do you take a security deposit?

Some houseboats may ask for a small refundable deposit on arrival. We’ll let you know in advance if it applies.

Your Stay
Are meals included?

Most houseboats offer meal plans with authentic Kashmiri home-cooked food (breakfast/dinner or full board). Let us know your preference and we’ll arrange it.

Is there heating in the rooms?

Yes β€” houseboats provide heating (bukhari/heaters) which is essential and available especially in the colder months.

Is Wi-Fi available on houseboats?

Many houseboats, especially premium and luxury ones, offer Wi-Fi. Mobile data also works well on the lake. We’ll confirm per boat.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Standard check-in is around 12:00 PM and check-out around 11:00 AM, though we can often be flexible β€” just ask.

Is hot water available?

Yes, houseboats provide hot water in the en-suite bathrooms.

Are the houseboats clean and safe?

Absolutely β€” every houseboat is personally verified for cleanliness and safety, and is government-registered.

What facilities do the houseboats have?

Expect carved-walnut rooms, en-suite bathrooms with hot water, a sitting lounge, a sun deck, dining area and shikara service. Amenities vary by boat and category.

Are houseboats suitable for families and children?

Yes β€” many houseboats have multiple rooms and are safe and comfortable for families. We can recommend the best options for you.

Travel & Sightseeing
Do you arrange airport pickup?

Yes β€” we can arrange a comfortable cab from Srinagar Airport (SXR) to your shikara point. Share your flight details when you book.

What is the best season to visit?

Spring (blossoms) and autumn (golden chinars) are ideal; summer is the busiest and warmest; winter is quiet, cold and misty. See our best-time guide for details.

Can you arrange shikara rides?

Yes β€” your houseboat host can arrange shikara rides, including romantic sunrise and sunset rides and a trip to the floating market.

Can you plan full Kashmir sightseeing?

Absolutely β€” we can arrange a private cab and full sightseeing across Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg and the Srinagar gardens alongside your stay.

How do I reach my houseboat?

A short shikara ride from the ghat takes you to your houseboat. We arrange the shikara for you.

Is Dal Lake or Nigeen Lake better?

Dal is lively with the floating market; Nigeen is quieter and more secluded. See our Dal vs Nigeen guide, or ask us to recommend based on your trip.

General
Are you a registered business?

Yes β€” we are a government-registered business (GSTIN 01DBGPB6214P1ZU) based in Pampore, Kashmir, listing government-registered houseboats only.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellation terms depend on the houseboat and season, and are shared in writing before you pay. See our Cancellation Policy for details.

Can I visit both Dal and Nigeen lakes?

Yes β€” many guests split their stay across both lakes. We can arrange the transfer.

How can I contact you quickly?

The fastest way is WhatsApp at +91 99067 37924. You can also call the same number or use our Contact page.
